Amazing Green Smoothies

Green Smoothies?  Yes!  A green smoothie isn't necessarily green, it just contains greens.  There are a lot of delicious combinations for a green smoothie, but here's the basic recipe:

1 1/2 cup of liquid (water, almond milk, etc.)
2–3 handfuls of mild-tasting greens (spinach, kale, romaine)
1 banana
2 cups of fruit

If you're using a blender, blend the liquid and greens first; then add the fruit.  This ensures that the greens get blended up well.  If using a Nutri-bullet (like mine), just put everything in and blend it up together.

Not all green smoothies are green.  It really depends on the fruit you use.  For example, if you use two cups of mixed berries, your "green" smoothie will be purple.

In this smoothie, I used water, spinach, a banana, pineapple, and oranges.

After blending, stirred in a tablespoon of Chia seeds.
